No. Every Porten installation is completed by our own trained team. No subcontractors, no exceptions. You know exactly who is coming to your home, and we stand behind every installation with our own labour warranty.
[02]WHAT WARRANTY DO YOU OFFER ON DOOR REPLACEMENT?
Porten backs door replacement with an 8-year product warranty and a 2-year labour warranty. We also explain the product coverage and installation coverage clearly before the work starts.

Most door replacements are completed in one installation visit after the door is ready. During the estimate, we confirm site access, frame condition, and any strata or building requirements that could affect timing.
[05]WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS HIDDEN ROT OR MOISTURE DAMAGE BEHIND THE OLD DOOR?
Vancouver homes often hide moisture damage behind trim and old frames. We inspect the rough opening, explain what we find, address the damaged area before the new door goes in, and tell the homeowner what was done before we leave.
[06]WHAT TYPE OF STEEL DOORS DO YOU INSTALL AND HOW ARE THEY INSULATED?
We install insulated steel entry doors with sealed frames and weather-resistant perimeter systems built for BC rain. The door and frame are installed as a complete system so the opening is properly sealed.
[07]DO I NEED TO BE HOME DURING INSTALLATION?
Yes. Someone should be available at the beginning and end of the installation visit so we can confirm access, review the work area, and walk through the finished installation.
